Tracing our roots back to the Friends of Photography founded by Ansel Adams, Cole Weston, Wynn Bullock and others in 1967, CPA remains the second oldest, continuously running, most prestigious photography member gallery in America (behind Alfred Stieglitz's Camera Club of New York). Solo Exhibition: New York Center for Book Arts

"Room Full of Ideas," a solo exhibition at New York's Center for Book Arts as part of their Featured Artist Project. April 21 – July 1, 2017. Brian will present an artist’s lecture discussing his illustrative book projects on June 16th. Founded in 1974 and still located in Manhattan, the Center for Book Arts was the first non-profit organization of its kind in the country and has since become a model for others around the world.

Seizing the Light: A Social And Aesthetic History of Photography

The definitive masterwork on the History of Photography by Robert Hirsch. This 3rd edition published in 2017 includes Brian's artwork and a brief essay on his imagery and working methods.

Workshop: From Joshua Tree to the Salton Sea

The Image Flow, in conjunction with the Center for Photographic Art is pleased to present an epic tour of “the Good, the Bad and the Abandoned” as we photograph the natural and un-natural landscapes of California’s home-grown Bermuda Triangle. Our expedition will be led by Brian Taylor and Ted Orland, two seasoned photographers intimately familiar with this surreal corner of California.
